With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elwood E. Woods of Algonquin, Illinois, born in Jefferson, Ohio, who passed away on September 12, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer and Katie; his wife Shirley L. Woods; his grandsons, Taylor Woods Youngen and Gabriel Woods Guge; and his son-in-law Robert R. Guge.
He is survived by: his children, Jody Guge (late Robert R.), Kelly Woods and Blake Woods (Peggy); his grandchildren, Seth (Kim), Joshua (Laura), Caleb Guge (Erin), Jordan Thiele (Rich), Asher Guge (Ashley), Hannah Massey (Austin), Joy Allen (Peter), Whitney Tucker (Marshall), Tanner, Drew, Clay, Cody, Cole, Emma Costin and Chase Woods (Madeline); and his girlfriend Karen Brabec. He is also survived by his 25 great-grandchildren.
