She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Rosenthal and Mareta Rosenthal; and her sister Joanne Martens (Otto Maicke). She is survived by: her children, Bill Maicke (Carla) and Jean Hertel (William); her grandchildren, Steven, Jeremy Maicke, Cassandra Hertel and Eric Hertel (Kenzie Greathouse); her great grandchildren, Miley and Alexandra; her brother-in-law Ron Martens; and her nieces, Lori Martens and Dawn Koshiol (Alan). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Congregational Church of Algonquin.
