He was predeceased by: his parents, David Sr. Winkler and Rosalie Winkler (Kerker); his daughter Kimberly Boelkes; and his siblings, Richard William Winkler, Floyd Winker, Emerson Winkler, Clyde Winkler, Solomon Winkler, Everett "Chalk" Winkler, Raymond Winkler, David Winkler, Jr., Verna Margaret Harmon, Irene Horton and Esther M. Moore.
He is survived by: his children, Tricia Johnson of Annapolis, MD, Stacey Clark (Ken) of Argyle, TX, Kelly Semrau (Jim) of Racine, WI and Todd Winkler of Alexis, IL; his son-in-law Gary Boelkes of Knoxville, IL; and also Leslie Morrell of New Boston, IL.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
