He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Charles Gates, David and Mae Usher. He is survived by: his parents, Dale A Gates and Cary S Gates (Usher); his brother Andrew Gates; and his grandmother Shelby Gates. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
