With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard E. Sage Sr. of Aledo, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Sage and Gladys Sage (Thomas); his daughter-in-law Marie Sage; his granddaughter Ashley Hasting; his great grandchild Lillah Hasting; his siblings, Nancy Wheeler, Sharon Bishop, Diane Chewing, Cindy Brandt, Linda Sage, Donna Becker and Alan Sage; and his pet Buddy.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Anderson; his children, Kathy and Richard "Rick" Sage, Jr. of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Danielle and Ted Jensen; his children, Cody Scott, Patrick Hasting, Lizzie, Quinton Evans, Melissa Sage and Lexi Sage; his great grandchild Lilly Hasting; and his grandchildren, Eian and Sage Evans.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Speer Funeral Home (2502 SE 3rd St, Aledo, IL 61231). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 11:00 PM to 9:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Sage Family, for an educational fund for Dick's great-grandchildren.
