He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Adams and Norma Kretschmar Adams. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Smith; his son Howard Walker Adams of Sewanee, Tennessee; and his brothers, Howard Robert Adams (Margaret) of Springfield, Ohio and Harold James Adams (Agnes) of Aledo, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
