With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnny A. Wagner of Aledo, Illinois, born in New Boston, Illinois, who passed away on May 29, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde J. Wagner and Naomi Finch Wagner; and his son Elmer. He is survived by: his wife Lois Scull; his daughters, Brenda Wagner (David Dixon) of Aledo and Diane Dunn of Aledo; his granddaughter Amy Hirsh (Kyle) of San Diego, California; his great grandchild Mikayla Dunn; his grandchildren, Lyjah Hirsh and Minka Hirsh; and his siblings, Clyde "Dig" Wagner (Leila) of New Boston and Patsy Henry of Keithsburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be left to the New Boston United Methodist Church or the Mercer County Animal Shelter.
