He is survived by: his father Michael Hillyer; his wife Kammie (Hanson); his children, Taelar, Reid and Ryan; his grandson Soren; his sisters, Tammy and Diana; his stepmother Linda; and his brother Jason.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to members of the immediate family, to support the costs associated with cremation so Kammie and their children can grieve without the additional burden of financial stress, or to the American Cancer Society because of Chad's leukemia diagnosis (2018) and the loss of Chad's father to cancer.
