He was predeceased by: his parents, Orris Meinhardt and Madge Meinhardt (Surrena); his wife Karoline; his stepsisters, Lavonia Allsup and Vera Stout; and his sister Lois Dunley.
He is survived by: his children, Tom Meinhardt (Ruth) of Mendota, Nancy Mathieu (Bill) of Amboy and Kristine Woodhouse (Del) of Hoffman Estates; and his grandchildren, Jason Meinhardt (Nicole) of Sterling, Kimberly Meinhardt of Brooklyn, NY, Timothy Meinhardt, Cora Mathieu of Mendota, Michael Mathieu (Holly) of Troy Grove, Matthew Woodhouse of Haslet, MI and Rachel Woodhouse of Columbia, MO.. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
