She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Gumbrell and Nadine Gumbrell (Roosevelt); her husband Roy Carter; her son Darrell Carter; her siblings, Dick Gumbrell and Diane Wilson; and her brother-in-law Darrell McKibben.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Bare (Evan) of Albion, IL; her sisters, Joyce Gumbrell of Blairsville, IN and Janet McKibben of Ellery, IL; her grandsons, Kevin and Jack Mecum; her great grandchild Mya Pickering; and her close friends, Cheryl Taylor and Jolene Knight. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
