It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrell D. Roosevelt (Albion, Illinois), who passed away on May 12, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Earl and May Edith Roosevelt (West); and his siblings, Robert "Bud", John, Paul, Don Roosevelt and Evelyn Boewe.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda L. Simms of Mt. Carmel; his children, Jerry Roosevelt (Patricia) of Waterloo, IL and Renee Wood (Ken) of Mt. Carmel; his grandchildren, Darryl Roosevelt (Brandy) of Collinsville, IL, Devan Holman (Scott) of O'Fallon, IL, William Wood (Elizabeth) of Helena, MT and Kyle Wood (Briana) of Newburgh, IN.; and his great grandchildren, Jimmy Kruta, Damon, Jerry Wayne Roosevelt, Levi, Garrett, Sophie Holman, Lennon Wood and Avett Heidinger. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions in place, private graveside services will be held On Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Mt Zion Cemetery.
Memorials are encouraged to the Alzheimer's Association.
