With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leroy C. Stropes of Albany, Illinois, born in Moline, Illinois, who passed away on January 14, 2022 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Leroy C. Stropes to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Stropes and Ruth Stropes (Schneider). He is survived by: his former wife Marlene Barack; his children, Lonny Stropes (Traci) of Albany, IL, Lesley DeLille (Doug) and Marla (Mike); his brother Loren Stropes (Roxy); his grandchildren, Ashley, Alisha Stropes, Alec, Daria DeLille and Melissa Brown (Kris); his great grandchildren, Kayla, Krista and Jaylynn; and his close friend Carol Boenitz. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Per the family's wishes, due to the recent increase of COVID 19, cremation will be accorded, and a memorial service will be held in the Spring.
