She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Milligan and Doris Milligan (Teachout); her daughter Kari Kay Johnson; her grandsons, Scott Schaefer and Lucas Thomas; and her sister Linda Stearman.
She is survived by: her husband Richard J. Thomas; her children, Kenya Johnson of Clinton, IA, Kori Conner (Jim) of Hillsdale, IL, Penny Thomas-Dondiego of Albany, IL and Bradley Thomas (Jenny) of Clinton, IA; her grandchildren, Damon Walters (Alexis), Tiffany Vogel, Marissa Martin (J. C.), Alyssa Bohms (Ryan), Austin Dondiego (Mackenzie), Venessa Dondiego (Ethan Cockerham), Matthew Thomas, Cole Thomas and Abby Thomas; her siblings, Dixie Vegter of Hampton, IL, Ed Milligan (Sue) of Sterling, IL and Clay White of Rock Falls, IL; and her pet Foxy. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
