He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Handy and Ethel Handy; his wife Mary Page; his grandson Jason Young; his great grandchild Callen Goforth; and his siblings, Eileen Boesdorfer, Juanita Cardosi, Stanley, Ellis, Larry and Tom Handy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Shari Hempen (Mike) of Nashville, IL, Terri Rennegarbe of Hoyleton, IL, Kari Handy of Centralia, IL and Jeri Thorson of Panama City, FL; his grandchildren, Brent Schorfheide (Jenee), Ryan Schorfheide, Brittany Goforth (Chris), Jennifer Willhite (Evan), Melissa Rennegarbe, Bryan Rennegarbe, Justin McDonald (Casi), Jessica Wheeler (Josh), Jeremy Boswell (Mariah), Austin Schorfheide (Callie McClay), Grayson Schorfheide, Paxtyn, Berklyn Goforth, Bailey, Layla, Landyn Baker, Briannah Rennegarbe, Theodore, Iris McDonald, Jamesen Wheeler and Weslynn Boswell; and his brother Charles Handy (Charlene) of Virden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Angel for Autism, Heartland/ProMedica Hospice, the American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
