It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Sears (Adair, Illinois), born in Eldorado, Illinois, who passed away on January 30, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Sears and Flora Pennington Sears; his wife Vera Reedy; and his sons, Jerry Sears and Rodney Sears.
He is survived by: his son Lyle Sears (Connie) of Adair; his daughter-in-law Dot Sears-Boyd; and his grandchildren, Dean Sears (Schuyler), David Sears (Laura), Samantha Schroer (Thom), Jara Ausbury, Jay Sears (Chris), Jerry Sears (Megan), Donnie Sears (Sue), Michelle Carry (Mike) and Roger Sears (Lindsey). He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
