Wood of Abingdon, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on May 31, 2024, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Gene Wood and Sarah Ann Davis (Spurgeon) of Litchfield; his wife Virginia Lou Helms of Abingdon; his stepsons, Jeffrey Frail of Kewanee, David Frail (Kirstie) of Kewanee, Andrew Frail (Gabby) of Kewanee and Joshua Gilbert (Brittany) of Galesburg; his daughters, Morgan Wood of Princeton and Lisa Frail (Anthony) of Kewanee; his siblings, Paul Wood (Piper) of Milliken, Chris Wood (Teri) of Litchfield and Adriane Davis (Nicole) of Litchfield; and his grandchildren, Waylon Elliott Chase, Raylynn Wire and Ian Gilbert.
