He was predeceased by: his father John R. Thurman; and also Connie E. Wilson. He is survived by: his mother Connie E. Thurman (McGrew); his close friend Mary Brentise of Abingdon; his siblings, Diana Thurman of Galesburg, Suzi Magee of Alexis and Mike Stubbs (Georgia) of Moline; his stepmother Diane Thurman (Mike Jones) of Hermon; his nieces, Catherine Pullen (Dakota) of Kirkwood, Jennifer Dixon (Joshua) of Galesburg and Sarah Springer (Colby) of Monmouth; his nephew Ty Stubbs of Bloomington; and also, Genie Yelm, McKenzie and Charlie of Williamsfield. He is also survived by two great nieces, one great nephew.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Abingdon Christian Church (409 S Main St, Abingdon, IL 61410). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Abingdon-Avon High School FFA Program, Abingdon-Avon High School Boys' Baseball Program, or an animal rescue of the donor's choice.
