He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl M. and Eileen M. Lewis (Bent); his brother James Bent; his son-in-law Roger Martin Sr.; his father-in-law Dean Hahn; and his brother-in-law Gregg Gavin.

He is survived by: his wife Dianna; his daughters, Cher Russell (Doug) of Evans and Samantha Martin; his grandchildren, Airman Chase Russell of Ellsworth, Kruz Simkins, Keegan Simkins of Abingdon, Tommy Martin of Camdenton and Private Codie Martin (Bridget); his brothers, Fred Lewis (Sharon) of Abingdon and Robert H. Lewis (Linda) of London Mills; his sister-in-law Linda Bent of Abingdon; his mother-in-law Beverly Hahn of Abingdon; his siblings-in-law, Kathy Hahn (Eugene Kenney) of Abingdon, Jan Gavin of Galesburg and Merlin Hahn of Mundelein; and his friend Ron Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
