It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Allen of Abingdon, Illinois, who passed away on December 31, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Allen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Lundry and Frances Lundry (Keefauver); her spouse R. LaVerne Allen; and her siblings, Robert Lundry and Louella Thurman.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Allen (Ellen) of Weatherford, Texas and Jeanne Gumm (Mike) of Dahinda; her granddaughters, Leslie Crader (Kale) of Grandview and Lynzee Riney (Jason) of Godley, Texas; her great grandchildren, Kinzie, Camden and Jensyn Riney; and her stepgranddaughters, Trisha Musick and Jennifer Malone. She is also survived by four step-great-grandchildren.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, a private funeral service will be Friday, January 8, 2021 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Abingdon United Methodist Church Stained Glass Window Fund or to the MS Foundation in care of Jeanne Gumm, 4100 Oak Run Dr., Dahinda, IL 61428.
