He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Robert and Catherine Irene Poland (Powell); his wife Connie Shinn; his children, Dawn Scalf (Kert) of Abingdon, Dianna Poland (Charles Sullivan) of Gilson and Darrin Poland (Tammy) of Abingdon; his grandchildren, Dalton Scalf, Chaise Poland (Kiersten) and Kennedi Poland; and his brother Dennis Poland (Judy) of Abingdon.
