He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Batson and Dora E. Batson (McCullough); and his brothers, Harry, Art, Ronnie and Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Louise P. Sabetti; his son David Batson (Stacy); his grandchildren, Hope, Alex and Abby; his great grandchild Henry; and his siblings, Chuck Batson (Linda) of Abingdon, Betty Gordon of Abingdon, Shirley Blodgett of Abingdon, Emma Lou Lambert of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Mary Jo Russo of Abingdon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
