It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Mitchell (Abingdon, Illinois), born in Marshalltown, Iowa, who passed away on June 15, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ruby Carol Allen; his daughters, Anita Mitchell, Carol O'Rourke (late Jim) of Ada, MI and Linda Casper (Mel) of Avon, IL; his grandchildren, Kirk Hunter (Lori) of Avon, IL, Erin Lew (Bill) of Minneapolis, MN and Drs; his great grandchildren, Talon, Teagan Hunter, James, Henry, Samuel, Ethan Lew, Maya O'Rourke and Xavier O'Rourke; and his stepgranddaughter Angie Settles.
Memorials may be made to the Abingdon Christian Church and/or the Avon Public Library.
