He was predeceased by: his parents, Max R. Shipplett and Ruby Shipplett (Harland); and his siblings, Mike Shipplett, Joyce Shipplett and Mary Anne Congdon.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon J. Friend; his children, Scott Shipplett (Shuyan) of Galesburg, Jeff Shipplett (Julie) of Abingdon and Shelly Rodgers (Trent) of Berwick; his brother Carroll Shipplett of Yorba Lynda, California; his brother-in-law Dan Congdon of Hamilton; and his pet Twiggy. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
