It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary F. Nicklas of Abingdon, Illinois, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on April 26, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frederick Nicklas and Charline Nicklas (Lakose) of Cedar Rapids; his wife Rosemary; his sons, Gary Nicklas, II (Catherine) of Australia and Scott Olson, II (Trisha) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Katelin, Darragh, Kayla, Lily, Saxon and Brianna; and his brother Russ Nicklas.
