He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Courter and Helen Courter (Malm). He is survived by: his wife Betty D. Sluyter; his children, Diane Eaton (Dick) of Berwick and Timothy Courter of Abingdon; his grandchildren, Richard Eaton of Berwick, Elizabeth Courter of Galesburg and Amanda Cunningham (Jarrod) of Galesburg; and his great grandchildren, Jordan, Nevaeh, Jade and Londyn. He is also survived by His grandchildren and later his great-grandchildren.
