It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elsie L. Mathias of Abingdon, Illinois, who passed away on November 16, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sterling Legate and Evelyn Legate (Welch); and her son David Mathias. She is survived by: her husband William Mathias; her daughter Debra Mathias; and her sister Wanda Legate Couter.
