He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Leon and Ethel Irene Thurman (Schisler); and his siblings, Paul, Lawrence and Lucille Robinson.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Brock; his daughters, Lucinda Johnson (Kevin) of Abingdon and Roberta Thurman of Abingdon; his grandchildren, Donald Garrett, Everett Garrett, Travis Norville (Samantha) and Chrissie Spitzig (Eric); his great grandchildren, Brendin Spitzig, Hunter Spitzig, Max Norville and Parker Norville; and his brother LaVerne Thurman of Abingdon.
