We are sad to announce that on March 23, 2021, at the age of 61, Connie Helms of Abingdon, Illinois, born in Galesburg, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, L. A. "Don" and Caroline Myrick (Vance); her husband Roger L. Helms, Jr.; and her sister Cynthia Burnett. She is survived by: her former husband Michael E. Duerre; her children, Shawn M. Duerre (Christal Lape) of Abingdon and Jennifer M. Duerre (Jason Fowler) of Galesburg; her grandchildren, Cameron M. Duerre, Kameron Fowler and Maddie Fowler; her close friend John Cunningham of Abingdon; her adoptive parents, Gary Burnett and Anita Burnett of Riverside, Iowa; her siblings, James Pennington of Columbia and Mary Burnett of Columbia; and her nephew Gage Radcliffe of Columbia.
Due to guidelines associated with the Covid-19 Pandemic, social distancing and face masks will be required.
