We are sad to announce that on March 23, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Carla Gilfillan (Abingdon, Illinois), born in Galesburg, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Dixie Shank (Jones). She is survived by: her father Charles Shank; her husband James L. Gilfillan; her children, Brandon of Galesburg, Erin and Jacob; and her siblings, Christopher Shank of Abingdon and Gina Krupps (Joseph) of Galesburg.

She participated in clinical trials and studies in both her autoimmune Wegners Granulomatosis and Covid 19 diseases, as she wanted to help other people and for them to learn from her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
