He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel and Rosa; and his sister Maria Vitoria. He is survived by: his wife Fatima Cardoso; his daughter Sandra (Egidio); his grandchildren, Ethan and Vanessa; and his siblings, Clarinda (Deodato), João (Elvira), Vital (Margarida) and George (Gorette). He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews.
Due to the circumstances surrounding Covid-19, and keeping everyone's health and safety in mind, the family has decided to keep all services for José private and only allow Jose's immediate family to attend.
