He was predeceased by: his parents, Violet Banfill and Edward Banfill; his siblings, Ingram, Una, Ancel, Naomi, Marion and Ronald; and his children, Margaret, Violet and Roger.

He is survived by: his wife Polly; his son Frank (Beth); and his siblings, Alma, Ruth, Edward, Eva, Richard, Chris and Brian. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
