He was predeceased by: his daughter Katherine Burks; and his sister Bette Duffy. He is survived by: his wife Judi Burks; and his children, Robert Burks (Darla) of Denver, Heather Etter (Scott) of Seattle, Adam Smith (Stacy) of Pasco and John Burks of Denver, Colorado.. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
