He was predeceased by: his father Claude Houchin; his stepfather Walt Lindley; and his siblings, Gary Lindley, Claudia Houchin and Steve Houchin.
He is survived by: his mother Margaret Houchin-Lindley (Butler); his children, Dorothy Houchin of Wallace, Idaho and George Houchin (Tina) of Osburn; his close friend Joyce Lavergne of Wallace, Idaho; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Chambers, Kelsi, Cassidy Houchin, Jenny Chapman, Abbie, Gavin Houchin, Morgan Houchin, Cameron and Austin McKinnon; his great grandchildren, Romy, Arye Chambers, Kylee, MacKenzie Brotzman and Jaxon; and his brothers, Bob Houchin (Adele) of Las Vegas, Mark Houchin (Patti) of Wallace, John Houchin (Jackie) of Meridian and Dave Lindley (Becky) of Spokane, WA..
