He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jennie Garrett, Fred and Nola Lewis; his grandfather Malcom Garrett of Michie, TN; his parents, Barry Johnson and Sue Johnson of Wallace, ID; his siblings, Bryan Smykal (Rachel) of Kellogg, ID and Crysten Smykal of Liberty Lake, WA.; his nephew Eli Johnson; and his niece Alice Smykal. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
