He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Tonks and Laura Tonks; his brothers-in-law, Craig and Bill Stewart; and also, Earl and Doris Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Stewart Tonks; his children, Kip Tonks (Nicole), Tammy Hammond (Steve) and Nick Tonks (Tracy); and his siblings, Janice Krahn, Kent Tonks, Keith Tonks, Gary Tonks and Chris Tonks. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
