He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mothers, Patsy Alfano and Elvira Pellegrini; his sons, Rick Alfano of New Hartford and Randy Alfano (Christine) of Victor; his granddaughters, Zoe and Julia Alfano of New Hartford; and his brother Raymond Alfano Sr. of Torrington. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
