She was predeceased by: her daughter LaSalette; her husband Manuel Teixeira; her parents, Antonio Avelar and Elisa Avelar; and her brother Tony Avelar.
She is survived by: her children, Sergio (Mary) and Natasha; her grandchildren, Corbin, Malayna, Lexi, Kyra, Kaylee and Kymber; her siblings, Helen, Joe (Anna) and Larry; and her sister-in-law Cecilia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
