She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Southfield and Anna Southfield; her husband Walter Staal; her daughter Candace Staal; and her siblings, Clarence Southfield (Mildred), Harold Southfield (Jackie), John Southfield, Ed Southfield, Jenny DeBoer (Art), Clara Romberg (Cyril), Mary Visser (Sam) and Anna Porte (Marvin).

She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Barrows (Rick) of Mapleton, OR, Cathy Staal of Brownsville, OR, Connie Staal of Twin Falls, ID, Cindy Staal (Randy) of Eugene, OR, Carla Hastie (D'Wayne) of Springfield, OR and Caryn Staal (Michael) of Twin Falls, ID.; her grandchildren, Ryan Barrows (Cassie), Matthew Barrows (Mandy), John Barrows, Ivy Kay (Kevin), Nicole Barnett (Jason), Justice Santos (Diego), Andrew Kinder (Carissa), Katie Craven (Adam), Nicolas Staal, Eren Hastie (Soren), Erik Hastie (Roshelle), Sadianne Visser (Russell), Stephen Grossman and Haylee Grossman; and her sister-in-law Carol Southfield of Twin Falls, ID..

A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Twin Falls Reformed Church (1631 Grandview Dr N, Twin Falls, ID 83301).
