He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo Lee and Nellie Lee; his sibling Falls; his wife Edna May Preston (Temple); and his son David.

He is survived by: his brother Lynn (Patty); and his children, Jim, John (Rita), Lori (Bonnie), Mike (Tory) and Doug (Becky). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
