He is survived by: his uncle Clarence Wilson (Dan); his children, Randy Whitney, Stuart Whitney (Levina), Shane Whitney (Terri), Lynetta Pettit (Scot) and Buffy McCoy; his grandchildren, Beth LeBaron (Forrest), Gina Whitney, Cary Whitney (Diane), Gerald Whitney, Sean Whitney, Dylan Whitney (Kiele), Julie Torrero (Alex), Aubrey Ward (Matt), Daniel Whitney, Marcia Masterjohn (Michael), Zack Wood (Stephanie) and Corbey McCoy (Nikki); and his brother Roger Whitney. He is also survived by one of 5 siblings.
