He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Claude McGahan and Carlot McGahan (Anderson); his wife Kathryn J. Sandell; his children, Marshall McGahan, Kristine Lightfield and Paul McGahan; and his siblings, Wilma Steigers, Joyce Burt and Bob McGahan. He was also cherished by four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to Troy Lutheran Church.
