He was predeceased by: his brother Donald. He is survived by: his spouse Terry Tash; his children, Kevin Spence (Julie Gardner) of Troy, Lori Kelnhofer (Eldon Hodges) of Moscow and Michelle Bruck (Dave) of Genesee; his grandchildren, Kammi Spence, Shane Spence, Jordan Kelnhofer (Justin Maffey), Kendell Kelnhofer, Taylor Kelnhofer and Makenna Bruck; and his siblings, Bertle Spence (Norma), Norman Spence and Norene Bennett (Bobby).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Appaloosa Horse Club Foundation, 2720 West Pullman Road, Moscow, ID 83843 to be used for the Chief Joseph Trail Ride, or to a local humane society.
