He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Lucy Hansen; and his stepfather Rex Eads. He is survived by: his parents, Merlin Madsen (Diane) and Patricia Eads; his wife Shawna Madsen; his children, Megan Walker (Cory), Taylor Hansen (David), Monica McGuire (Garrit), Sydney Tarran (Myles) and Jimmie Crandall (Audra); and his siblings, Jennifer Dustin Hans (Todd) and Soren Madsen (Pili).
