As Richard Vermont departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Richard Vermont. Though Richard Vermont may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by: his parent Mildred Hicken; his siblings-in-law, Marcia Hicken and Vernon Winkler; and his son-in-law Matthew Little. He is survived by: his wife Nila Winkler; his children, Cynthia Hull (Jeff), Amy Michelle Little Winward (Steve), Anna Marie Hales (Matt), Jon Richard Hicken (Rebecca) and Jared Andrew Hicken (Melinda); and his brother Donald Hicken. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Star 2nd Ward LDS Chapel (9400 W Floating Feather Rd, Star, ID 83669). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM and on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM.
