He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. Hill and Florence Hill (Vanderberg); and his children, Kenny Hill and Janet Hill. He is survived by: his wife Leona Hill of Silverton; his sons, Rob (Tami Hill) of Phoenix, Arizona, Tim Hill of Kellogg and Steven Hill of Spokane, Washington; his brother David Basslington of Tacoma, Washington; and his stepsister Evelyn Wisner of Enaville. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
