She was predeceased by: her father Vernon Katen; and her brother Stanley Katen. She is survived by: her mother Angelina Katen (Cerini) of Petaluma, CA; her husband Walter Strobel of Silverton, ID; her daughters, Lindsy Strobel of Osburn, ID and Katie Murray (Matt) of Mullan, ID; her grandchildren, Ayden and Alivia Murray; her siblings, Daniel Katen (Gina) of Colorado and Verna Lee Leyba (Joe) of Petaluma, CA; her siblings-in-law, Scott Ellingson of Kennewick, WA and Bernice Katen of California; and her friends, Mary Ann Cooley and Kristen Nelson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wallace Elks Club (419 Cedar St, Wallace, ID 83873).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Shoshone Cancer Resource Center.
