He is survived by: his great-grandparent John Ira Gardner; his parents, James Joseph and Mary Ira Gardner (Whittenberg); his children, Jim Gardner (Lisa) of Santa Rosa, Robert Gardner of Portland and David Gardner (Deborah) of Portland; his grandchildren, Patrick Specht, Thomas Specht, Cileia Howe, Shirley Howe and Jiahe Wang; his former wives, Zoe and Delza; his daughters, Peggy Gardner and Georgia Specht; his sister Hazel Meacham; and also Silverton. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; John was preceded in death by his parents.
