He was predeceased by: his parents, Salem Oras and Emily Almeda Carpenter; his wife Opal Joy Carpenter; and his grandson Patrick Carpenter. He is survived by: his children, Tommy Carpenter (Juliana) of Glenns Ferry, Nancy Lewis (David) of Shoshone and Randy Carpenter (Janet) of Shoshone. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren.
