He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Russell and Mae Russell (VanDerPas); his siblings, Bonnie Boettger, James and David Russell; his nephew Ken Boettger; and his niece Debbie Russell.
He is survived by: his wife Barbra Russell of Sandpoint; his sons, Ross Russell (Kirsten) of Spokane and Rick Russell (Sarah) of Spokane; his stepdaughter Kristin Szakacs (Erik) of Sacramento, CA; his grandchildren, Jenna and William Russell; his siblings, Vivian Hooper (Ken) of Sagle and John Russell of Sandpoint; his sister-in-law Ginny Russell of Rockville, MD; and his nephew Jim Russell of Virginia. He is also survived by numerous nephews, a niece, several great nephews and nieces, as well as very special cousins.
