He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Malcolm and Ella Malcolm; his stepfather Leslie Vezina; his sister Susan Vezina; and his grandchildren, Colton Wade and Angel Lee.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte McConnaghy; his brother Bill Vezina; his children, Les, Cheri and Chad; his grandchildren, Casey Malcolm, Jacky Malcolm, Hannah Hanson-Butt (Jason), Lacy Jolly (Brandon) and Shade Malcolm; and his friends, Ted Adams and James Whittaker. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
